    hayward sand filter parts

    Hello,

I have a Hayward S244T sand filter. It has a little drip around the locking brace so I want to replace the oring and see if that fixes it. I also need to replace the pressure gauge as it is stuck at 0. I cannot find a manual to save my life, so I just wanted to make sure, are these the right parts?

    Thank you in advance!

I have that sand filter too and a leak just like you have.

Turns out it wasn't the o-ring but the multiport valve mounted to it
had a small crack. You might check for water seeping out of the multiport
unless you found it only below the collar.

The glycerin gauge works great on that filter (I got one last fall) I'd suggest
the rear mount gauge so it;s easier to read.

I'll have to check on the multiport. Already got the oring ordered, but doesn't hurt to have it just in case. Thanks for the tip.

If I do replace the oring, can I just use Jack's lube on it?

I use jacks lube every time I take unions or filter apart. A few times on pump lid also

Great, thanks! (and thanks for the reminder on the unions, I would have forgotten that...)
