Numbers didn't move like they should have -- help...

So last night numbers were

CYA - 50
TA - 140
PH 8.2 plus

The highest the PH measure goes up is 8.2 but looked about like the right shade.
We added chlorine and muratic acid. We put in the muratic acid based pool math to bring ph down to 7.2 and bring TA down a little bit.

Today the numbers ph still 8.2 or higher. TA went up to 220!!!
Why did the TA jump and what do I do?

There has to be a testing discrepancy somewhere. TA won't just rise that much on its own. Let's confirm a couple things:
- TA tested with 25ML sample, 2 drops of #7, 5 drops of #8 (green), then drops of #9 until it turns Barbie pink correct? Multiply by 10?
- pH in the comparator view; 5 drops of red reagent?

The Poolmath calculator is pretty good about showing what you need when you enter the current (NOW) and projected (TARGET) numbers. Maybe you can clarify some more what happened or if any testing errors might be possible?
