Prepping for a party

We're going to have a bunch (read 30+ people) over for a pool party in about 2 weeks (First one! Much excited!).

How early should I bump up my FC? I've read that it would be acceptable to bump it up to just under SLAM level - for us, SLAM is 12, so Aiming for 11?

People will be here for about 4 hrs - should I test during swim time? Can I add chlorine if needed during swim time, and if so, how to safely do so?

I do it the morning of. I would go about 8 ppm. Doing a quick test a couple of hours in is a good idea. And then boost to 8ish after. Make sure it stays above minimum at all times.

You should be fine doing that. I woulnt worry about testing during the party unless you just want to... or maybe if you did test, you could show off your chemistry prowess and do a show and tell!
