    Question on CYA and Calcium Hardness

    Will the CYA or Calcium Hardness level ever go down naturally? Is replacing the water the only way to achieve that goal?
    25K, IG vinyl, sand filter, 10 yrs old, TF100 test kit, elec htr

    CYA naturally degrades very slowly, maybe 1-2ppm per month.

    Calcium is a mineral and it just sticks around.
