Cloudy Water Post Shocking

About a week ago, we had a very bad storm and my pool turned green because of it. I read in my booklet that came with the pool test kit that to treat the problem, I needed to add 30 ppm FC all at once. I did that, and now my water is cloudy. How can I get it to not be cloudy? I did the algae treatment 3 days ago, and slowly the system is filtering out the cloudiness, but I was hoping I could get it to go faster.

What test kit are you using?

Well, I hope your pool is not vinyl with low CYA as raising that FC that high would likely cause damage.
