    Sand Filter Pump setup questions

My wife and I just ordered a 18 x 48 Summer Waves Elite Ultra Frame Pool. I have done some research and see that upgrading to a sand filter and pump seems to be the way to go. I have look at a couple of intex models and need advice on which one to purchase or are these junk and need to look else where. Please help these are the two I'm looking at.

Bigger is better, especially for the INTEX pumps/filters.

So, get the 3000GPH with the larger sand filter for $18 more

The Intex pumps work well enough, but I found myself only getting 2-3 years out of one before it died. So this year I sprung for one of these: Pro Above Ground Swimming Pool Pump System 4500GPH 19 Sand Filter w/ 1.0HP - Walmart.com

The only drawback is you have to adapt it to your pool's hoses. Leslie's sells adapters for Intex hoses, two for $9.

True but in my experience with intex products, they only last a few years... I would imagine a pump in the same category as Hayward and pentair but well below the price point sounds kinda sketchy. I looked at them when I was shopping just based on price but still decided on the hayward
