New Hayward Pump Problem

have a new swimming pool pump, it has run good for 2 months. Today I had to hit the back of the pump for it to run, it ran for 20 min. and stopped had to hit it again this time it ran for over 5 hours with no problems. what could cause this?
Motor is 1 hp, single speed. It's a Hayward Super Pump. SP2607x10

Welcome to TFP

While I do like to hit things to get them to work I don't think that is the best way to get it working, at least that is what my wife say's

It may just be a lose connection in the wiring, turn off your breaker, test to make sure NO POWER is coming to the pump and check the wires in the back, make sure none are lose...

I'm thinking it is the centrifugal switch, what do you think?
