Pool Rookie, First TF100 Test

I have a 20x48 Summer Waves Vinyl pool with about 8000 gallons. Just filled it up with water on Sunday. I have been adding about a half a jug of bleach every evening until I got my TF100 kit, which came today. Here are my first readings. The water is still crystal clear.

FC = 0
pH = 8.2
TA = 280 -- maybe, does the drop turn red or the entire solution turn red?
CH = 75
CYA = ?? I couldn't get an accurate reading on this one. Gonna try again

So, I need to add 36oz of bleach, 35oz of muriatic acid according to the calculator. Not sure about the CYA yet. Is it ok to add the bleach and muriatic acid about the same time? Any other suggestions.

Fresh fill water has 0 CYA in it ... you need to add at least 30ppm in a sock to get started.

Just wait a few minutes between acid and bleach.

Thanks!! One other question I had is should I run my pump 24/7? I have since we filled it up.

You probably only need to run for about 4 hours. Check the pump run time article in Pool School.
