SOMEONE please help. We bought the summer waves pool not realizing it was going to be the biggest headache EVER! We got all the hoses and have it attached to our intex saltwater system. NOW the problem is there is hardly any suction in the skimmer. the smallest pieces of debris float right by! We have taken out the spinner part to the pump but there just isn't enough suction. PLEASE help! What do we need to do? Can we somehow remove the whole pump from the skimmer and seal it somehow? If we need to buy the Hayward skimmer, I am assuming we have to cut to fit as well as get rid of all the adapters we bought. This "cheaper" pool is turning into a Very expensive pool! Thanks for any input!

I'm guessing it the kind with the pump built into the skimmer? Sadly those are underpowered for what is really needed to circulate the water properly. You would definitely get better results upgrading to at least the intex sand filter and pump combo. Doesn't mean you necessarily have to change the skimmer. There is another thread on here that goes into detail how to hook up to a different pump and filter.
