bottom drain covers

The Plaster Co replaced my bottom drain covers in the deep end of my poolI I think he said the old ones where not up to code .
The problem is the covers are much higher than my old covers and my aquabot turbo gets stuck on the covers Im looking for
a lower profile cover for pentair drains if that matters . I want my old covers back . The one I looked at is around 25$ x 4
should I ask the plaster company to replace them? Did anyone have the same problem what cover did you use?

i've looked and i cannot find any for sale that are not up to code. if they will put the old ones back, thats what i'd ask. just realize the reason there is a code for the new ones, so you know what to look for when you have swimmers. i disable my main drain during swim season.
