TA for a Salt Water Pool

Just fired up my new Circupool RJ-45 SWG and have a question concerning my target TA numbers.

I am currently shooting for a TA number between 60 to 80 points as per your recommendations.

Circupool ideal water chemistry numbers for TA are 100 to 200 points.

Should I keep shooting for the 60 to 80 point ( I am currently at 120 points), or use Circupool's suggested numbers.

What are the pros and cons??

TA acts as a pH buffer. A lower TA makes the pH more stable and limits/slows its rise. If you follow the 100-200 ppm recommendation, you will go through a lot of acid and be adding it very frequently.

I'd use their recommendations ONLY IF they're willing to send you FREE muriatic acid! That SWG is automatically gonna tend to drive up your PH as is.
