I had to empty my pool this year so I could mud jack it and paint it.
When I bought new water from Aqua Duck, too much for our house plumbing, the TA came in at 160.
I have been lowering the PH with a gallon of acid, daily, and bubbling the jets upward and so far have managed to drop the TA to 100 using about 7 gallons of acid.
The rest of the numbers are Ok I think
PH 7.2
FC 4
CYA 70
CH 300
TA 100
Temp 79
Am I on the right track and am I not hurting anything by using all that acid?
Thanks for any help.

you are 100% on track, pool pilot is a SWG correct, keep dropping to TA of 70 or 80 and see if your PH stabilizes :)

Thank you Cowboycasey, this seems to be taking forever, so I appreciate your input that I'm doing no harm.
Yes, the Pool pilot is a SWG, apparently one of the few with enough capacity for my pool.
