I'm installing a heater. I'm going pump to filter to heater back to pool. No chlorinator or anything else. I thought I needed a check valve after the heater but now I'm wondering if that's only for people with chlorinators after the heater.
Do I need a check valve?

Only if there is a chlorinator or if the heater is below the water level in the pool
