The rope on my automatic Covers Pool Save-T3 broke in the middle of the track. The cover is about ten years old with a few small patches but otherwise fine. Question should I try and repair the rope and how? or replace entire cover?

I'm not sure I'll be up for replacing the ropes on mine myself but I've seen write-ups elsewhere on the net that go over the process.
