TA off chart during Slamming

Hi Gents,
second day of SLAM and TA this morning was literally unreadable.
FC 18
CC 1
CYA 50
CH 50
TA 1300 and I stopped counting the drops.
I didn't check the PH cause I'm sure it will be unreadable too
I'm using Clorax 8.25 % for slamming.
What should I do next? Refill or using dry /muriatic acid?

Welcome to TFP!

I would focus on completing the SLAM before worrying about pH or TA. After the SLAM and when FC drops below 10 ppm, then you can retest and adjust these parameters.

You are correct! Wait until after the SLAM to retest pH and TA, then post the results here.

Hi Enzo,
the high FC can really mess up the tesing. If you're slamming, don't worry about testing anything other than FC and CC. Just take care of the slam.

Once the slam is over, and the FC drops down to more normal range, test and adjust then.

The water seems in good shapes ..let's see what the numbers say in the morning.

Being this my first year with this kind of approach , I want to make sure that the SLAM is done and as soon the FC gets within the recommended level I'm good to go.

There are 3 criteria to pass the SLAM as shown here, SLAM Process

Once those are passed then it safe to swim when
PH is between 7.2 and 7.8
FC is between minimum and shock level for your CYA, [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]
And the water is clear
