Hi everyone.

The dream of having a pool is still on hold.
no much progress since: WaterProof options needed
Just finished the walls with mortar.

Pool was build with the intention of aplying PVC to waterproof tank.
Since pvc still to expensive i was thinking of doing some epoxi paint, to at least use it for a year or two.

Now my question is:
How to i use paint when fixtures in pool walls are for liner/PVC?
Do i need to cut the ciment around the fixtures and apply some specific "silicon" around them before i paint the walls?

please need some technical help.

kind regards
Goahead

Welcome back, been a while...

Just wondering, is there a reason you do not want plaster?

from what you have there it is going to be an awesome pool when finished :)

Hi Casey,

Plaster is not something very common here in Portugal. Maybe a lack of experts in plaster technique?
Armed PVC liners, soldered in place, is what builders use more often. More reliable and durable and can be adapted to any shape. but still expensive.

I need a cheap solution for 2 or 3 years of use, that can hold some wall cracks.

The thing is that i dont know if i can use current plastic fixtures for Liner, for other waterproof solutions.

Some technical help needed. What should i do?

Regards
G.
