pool clear, here are my test results-what next?

Hi everyone,

My pool is finally clear & cc<.5 & fc is holding overnight

FC-12.5
CC-0.5
TA-110
CH-80
CYA-50
pH-7.2

I know the pH reading may not be correct with my chlorine level but it will drop by 1 tonight & probably 2+ tomorrow with the sunny day, so I will retest pH tomorrow night

What else should I do? Pool calculator says get CH up to around 260, anything else?

thanks

Bob

I'd actually bump the pH up a bit with borax. That's what I'd do.

"Critical" is a subjective word. With plaster having low calcium can cause significant damage to the pool. With fiberglass low calcium will slightly shorten the lifetime of the gelcoat and increase the chances of metal stains. I would say that calcium is critical with plaster and important with fiberglass.
