Hello, I have a Hayward sand filter, 24' above ground pool. I opened the pool and my CYA was 0. 2 weeks ago I added a gallon of liquid conditioner hoping to get my CYA levels up, checked it again this morning and it was still at 0. I proceeded to add a few pounds of the granular to my skimmer. Everything went through to the filter but all day my pressure shot up and there is barely any flow from the return. Is this normal with CYA, I know I can't do a backwash for a while, but what do I do now that there is no flow from the return? Thanks

You just have to wait for the granules to dissolve and stop clogging the filter and things will go back to normal. Or you backwash and lose all the granules you just bought. There is no middle ground.
