Dirty water pumped back in the pull at the start of the pump.

New pool owner and new to this forum. Looking for some advice. I have a unground pool with sand filter and Hayward valve. When I turn my pool pump on a lot of air comes out in the return line and after few seconds it goes away and then I get dirty water in the pool for a second. Why is that?

I had it back washed Few days ago. It's been happening since I had a pool guy clear clogged inlet pipe.

What clogged it? Is it reclogged? "The first thing to fix is the last thing that broke"

What is the psi on your filter? Did it read lower when you backwashed it?

Not much lower after back wash

Really hard to say without more information. Like Dave said, I'd look at what the pool guy did. It could be a lot of things - from broken laterals in the sand filter to a bad spider gasket in the multivalve.
