Chemical Question

So we opened the pool and because they pump broke we ended up with algae. I have been shocking for 3 days and looks clear

What should the borate be at? Also my Ph went up to 8.2 will this come down.

here are my numbers this morning

FC 14
CC 1.5
TA 50
borate 15
PH 8.2
CYA 50

Not sure if I should keep shocking or what to do since it is clear. Last testing yesterday the FC was 17

because you are SLAMing the only numbers you should be checking are the FC and CC until you pass the OCLT.. with a CYA of 50 your SLAM level should be 20FC.. your PH will read high when your FC is above 10..

with a CC of 1.5 you are still fighting algae, take your FC up to 20 and continue to test 3 to 10 times a day Your close

Disregard the borates. Deal with them after your pool is clear.
