Why higher CYA for SWCG?

Just trying to understand this part. Is the chlorine produced by SWCG more susceptible to sun loss?

Also, if I understand the things I've read here, LC does not raise PH but SWGC does. Why is that?

SWG add FC slowly, higher CYA allows for more protection from the sun and also then lets the SWG not work as hard (use a lower setting) so it should last longer.

The SWG causes bubbles to form in the cell, this is aeration and that raises the pH.
