2 Weeks into start up and going nowhere ...

Starting as a Green Swamp ... Let the pool get out of control over the winter, leaves and all. Got most of the leaves out and have tried vacuuming to get as much off the bottom as possible.
Dark Green
Started out going to local pool supplier:
5/29/16
FC-1
TAC-1
PH-7.0
TA-50
CYA-25
CH-230
1st we added conditioner, then soda ash, then shock
brushed pool and vacuumed, work kept me away a few days, but did manage to brush it a few more times.
Next trip to pool supplier:
6/5/16
FC-2
TAC-2
PH-8.0
TA-80
CYA-40
CH-220
This time Shock, oxidizer, Algae killer
brushed, Now a more emerald green
One final trip to the pool supplier: (just found this site)
6/9/16
FC-1
TAC-1
PH-7.2
TA-90
CYA-29
CH-270
Picked up my own test kit and decided not to throw more money their way for the time being.
2 choices at this time either try and SLAM the pool or drain and refill.
Since Bleach and my labor are not to expensive, I have decided to try the SLAM route first.
Started today 1000
FC-.5
CC-1
Used the pool math and cya calculator, started with 3 Gallons
2 hours later 1200
FC-1
CC-1-2
Added 3 more gallons
2 hours later 1400
FC-2
CC-2
Shouldn't me FC be going up at a faster rate?
Any help will be appreciated.

 Welcome to TFP!!!

Following the SLAM is the way to go.
What test kit did you get?

How are you testing the FC and CC?

If the FC is not going up, it is because it is being consumed by something.
