Anyone know what this part is?

I just set up my Inext 12'x30" pool last night, and in t he box with all the pump fitting and stuff was this part:

I can't seem to find mention of it in the instructions. Everything is up and running, so I'm scratching my head. It looks like it might thread onto a hose or something.

I believe that is for the drain to hook up the hose...

Yup, you screw that onto a water hose and then insert it into the drain hole so that when you drain your pool, you can divert the water away from it.
