PH and TA , what to do?

Punt! :) Always maintain your PH between 7.2 and 7.8 no matter what. Baking soda will raise your TA and not your PH. Raise your TA to 60 and see how it goes.

I would also suggest raising your TA to 60 first, then dropping the pH, but only to about 7.6. If you're fighting pH rise even at TA of 50 or 60, never lower your pH below 7.6 if you can help it. Low TA helps prevent pH rise but pH rise is also slower at higher pH levels. So if you're never very low, such as 7.0-7.4, you'll experience less overall pH rise and have to worry about TA being too low as often.
