Replace Multi-Port Valve

I am a new pool owner and I am replacing a multi-port valve (Hayward SP-710XR50). I have little experience, but have been working on my pool and learning as I go. The part did not bring instructions. The process of removing the bulkhead locknuts from the filter was fairly easy and I anticipate that it will also be easy to attach the new ones to the filter. I am perplexed about how I can remove the existing the fixture from pump and return sections that are connected to the pipes and installing the new fixture. Below is a picture for your reference. Please let me know if you can guide me. I don't know much terminology, but I am a fast learner. Anything you share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!

You cut the old pipes out.

You can try salvaging things by reconnecting it all with new unions as illustrated

A few glue-in couplings and some elbows may end up cheaper.
