I just went to get my pump up after filing my pool. When I didn't get prime, I noticed the pot strainer was leaking.
I have my pool company winterize my pool every fall. This spring, when they opened it, they found that the pool had drained quite a bit, and figured it had leak. The repairs involved abandoning my main drain and a zone of the infloor cleaning system which didn't pressure check.
It seems like the only thing that could have caused the pot strainer to crack is if there was water left in it. I am starting to wonder if they guy who did the winterization did a **** job, which is causing all these problems. Of course, I'll never really know.
