New Pool Build in SW Austin, TX - Pump problem - please help

Re: New Pool Build in SW Austin, TX - We Have Gunite!! - New Pics!

Just loosen the unions and rotate so that the hump is down.

Your equipment says aqr15. That's the basic aquarite. Are you getting automation? Earlier it said aquaplus?

I would suggest adding a bypass to the heater. At high flow rates, the heater might get too much flow, which can shorten the life of the heat exchanger. With a bypass, I would install a flow switch to make sure that the heater didn't fire without flow.

Re: New Pool Build in SW Austin, TX -Stone Time - New Pics!

That stone work looks great! I am loving how random it all is-size, shape, color, etc!

Thanks Kim. That's why we picked this stone. Our PB called it "multi" since it has elements of all the flagstone colors. I'm really liking the small hand-grab ledge around the spa and the way they capped off the spillovers. I'm hoping they finish up the stone today and start on the tile.

Re: New Pool Build in SW Austin, TX - Sundek help needed!

You nailed it with that pick. I did look at the Indian wheat in the sun but do NOT like it in the shade. I like Franciscan Tan in both the sun and shade!

Re: New Pool Build in SW Austin, TX - Deck Framing

Our deck has finally been poured. The concrete guys were backed up so it set us back 3 or 4 days. The clean up crew will be here on Monday, the fence will go back up on Tuesday, and we will hopefully get pebble on Thursday or Friday. We should also get Sundek sometime this week. After that, we are just waiting for our pergola install. I can't wait!!!

They did a "pour-a-lid" skimmer lid for us - I'm so happy we won't have the plastic skimmer lid.

Re: New Pool Build in SW Austin, TX - Deck Poured

NICE! I love what I am seeing! SWEET on the poured lid......so nice when they go the extra mile!

Try to be there when the plaster truck shows up so you can check the color and any extras you asked for. We had one last summer where they shot to wrong color (2 tiers down from what they paid for and NO extras that were paid for). It had to be chipped out and redone. Another one they had the wrong color on the truck but she caught it before the off loaded  Better safe than sorry!
