All,

Thanks in advance for your help in getting my cloudy pool water cleared up.

My pool is cloudy with a light green tint to it.

Here are my results using the T-100 kit.

CH - 5+ (Not sure how to measure higher as the scale only goes to 5)

pH - 6.8 - 7.2

FC - 2 ppm

CC - 1 ppm

TC - 3 ppm

CH - 275 - 300

TA - 70

CYA - 0 (I did this test many times using several different kits. I can fill up the tube and still see the black dot clearly).

I found a place that sells liquid bleach at 12%-15%.

I dont want to dump it in if I should get my CYA up a bit.

Thanks all for any recommendations on the steps to get my pool into seasonal shape.

What was the strength of the bleach?
Either it is crazy strong, your pool is much smaller than you think, or the test was not done correctly.
Having the FC that high with near 0 CYA is not good.

You did not add anything to change the CYA, so it should not be different.

Add 30ppm of CYA in a sock suspended in front of a return jet.
And follow the ShockLevelAndMAINTAIN Process

The liquid bleach is about 12-15%.

I think my pool is that big.. 25x50, deep end 10', shallow end 3-4',, Free form.. Either that or the water guy took me for a ride when I had my pool filled in the past...

Tests were done twice.. I most usually conduct each test twice when I am having issues. Just to be safe.

Thx for the help.

Your advice was to add 10ppm, not bring up to 10ppm. That is what I did.

Not 100% sure of the exact % of the chlorine, I put 5 gallons in. Pool Math stated a bit more than 4 gallons.

This am, the pool is still cloudy.

FC - 17 (Dropped alot since last night)

CC - 2

TC - 19

CYA - 0 (Stabilizer in sock all night. This am, sock was empty. I added more)

Thanks for your help.
