I am in the process of Slamming my Pool, But once I get to the point that the FC is good. and is drifting down to normal levels. At what point can I turn my SWG back on to maintain?

As soon as you pass the SLAM and begin to let the FC drift back down to your target, start adjusting your SWG % rate to maintain that desired FC target listed on the Chlorine/CYA Chart (link below).
ok, so my FC slam target was 28. As I drift down toward 5 FC. I want my SWG on as soon as possible? correct. or do I wait til its close to my normal target 5ppm?

You can let it drop and get closer. Your FC may take a day or two to finally get back down to around 10 or so. Once you know the FC is around 7-8, that's probably a good time to let it start working again. If you elect to start it sooner, it won't hurt anything, just be some excess FC really.
