I made a mistake and I'm hoping someone can tell me if it is a problem or not.
I bought a 4 lb of CYA and put it in the pool without having read the instructions carefully enough. I was sprinkling it in the deep end and hubby was brushing. It didn't seem to be dissolving very quickly, so I reread the instructions and saw it is supposed to be put in the skimmer! <sigh> We had put about half the bottle in. I put the rest in the skimmer.
So hubby and I stirred for about an hour. We got the intakes in the bottom to pick up some of it. It was getting very cold and very dark, so we came inside.
How big of a problem is it that there is CYA sitting on the bottom of our pool?
