Hi everyone. I'm super excited to be here as I love DIY projects but especially love saving money maintaining my own pool. I grew up being my dad's pool maintenance assistance, but after reading a few of the topics here, now I fully understand why we were always battling algae! We didn't do ANYTHING right haha. I swear, our pool was always greenish and there were many black spots of algae I used to scrape off with my nails - gross. My dad would simply test TC and pH and add tons of cholorine or muriatic acid - that's it.
I thank all of you in advance for starting this great community forum and look forward to learning and also sharing any knowledge I pick up. Now.... where is the bleach aisle at Walmart again?
