Low salt & Inspect cell Lights are on

1. I had Low salt light & inspect cell lights on
2. Added bag of salt
3. After few days checked the indicators same lights
4. added another bag of salt (stupidity)
5. Again the two lights came on
6. Removed the cell & put it in bucket with muratic acis + water
7. dipped the cell with cable part inside the bucket (stupidity)
8. Now both lights are still on (did reset by OFF/AUTO/SUPER CHLORINATE)

9. Took cell the pool store they said cell is bad & salt is 5000 PPM , I have to drain water
and refill

Options
1. Pool store try to sell me cell & board & install for $1000 (worth it)
2. BEFORE I buy T-cell-15 , is there way to check if the board is ok
3. Water is so far looking clean
4. Amazon has T-cell for $420 good price ?

Note : My T-cell-15 was installed in Aug 2011

Hi Sunny,
I dont know that there's anything wrong with the board. It sounds to me like it's working as it should.
420.00 is a good price for a Hayward T15 cell.

the GLX is a Hayward "Gold Line" cell. Gold Line used to be a seperate company from Hayward and Hayward bought them.
Its basically the same, so I wouldnt be concerned if were GLX or not.

Dave, Thanks for reply. Yesterday went and bought T15 instead of GLX. Pool was getting green
