Just bought a Dolphin Active 30i pool cleaner. I read the directions and it says do not use in chlorine levels higher than 4ppm. This means I can only have a CYA level of 30 and can not be used during a slam. I have not seen anything about this during my research before buying. Does anyone use them during slam and when Chlorine is higher than 4, such as when CYA level is above 30?

Those suggestions ignore the buffering effect of the CYA. No worries following the TFP recommendations.
At the recommended TFP shock FC level for a given CYA ... the active chlorine level (harshness of the water) is less than at a FC of 1ppm with a CYA of 0ppm (like many public pools).

Ignore the colors (I am not sure exactly what they are supposed to mean). Just compare the numbers.
