New pump arriving today

Hey all,
My new krystal clear 2100 gps pump and filter will be arriving today. Any tips for making for sure all is done correct. Any inside tips for the sand I should use? Anything useful?

Pool sand (silica sand). You can get at any pool supply or hardware store.
It's a good idea to lube all the gaskets with a gasket lube (like Magic Lube). Also available at pool supply or hardware store.
Beyond that, just follow the directions carefully and enjoy!

#20 silica sand is the stuff. 2100 gps gallons per second?

Congrats! Lots of folks here who upgraded to that and are happy with it.

This new pump and filter is amazing. i got everything hooked up. went to Leslie's and got my sand. Home Depot or Lowe's did not have it. I cannot believe how much better this thing is over the other pump and cartridge filter. i can see a long and happy summer. My next plan is to change out the return to the positional eye ball and hard plumb. The pool has so much less "stuff" on the bottom than it did before. Within one hour i can tell the difference. Now all i have to do is get my PH level right and i will be good to go.
