Found out where water was coming from in hayward h250 heater. Removed cover and seen this port inside. Can't find it on pdf manual. ..just a drain and go buy a brass plug?

That looks to be a connection tube for some type of electronic switch that would most likely measure water pressure. Is that a wire with a multi spade terminal connection boot stuck into that rubber grommet along side the tube? I see in your earlier posts you mention water shooting out of your heater when pump is running. Assuming this is the point of origin, I would suggest you review your manual, searching for testing and replacement of switches and see if you can locate the likely type. Most of your temp limit type switches are going to be located around the exchanger inlet/outlet pipes.
Good catch! I hadn't noticed the wire. It could well be a broken sensor. Plugging it may stop the leak but the heater might not work without it connected.
Started cleaning out heater and found it under webs, exactly that,water pressure switch. Tightened everything up no leaks! Now just need to research wiring schematics to hook up the 2 loose wires from it. Still trying to figure out jandy valve function. Got recirculation running, water level at half skimmer and it starts sucking water so hard it gets air for a few chugs then goes back to normal. Air purges through pump then returns. Gets up to good pressure again , then it starts over.
The surging could be just low water level. Try adding an extra inch.
If the switch has two wires only, it's likely just a simple on-off and polarity doesn't matter.
