sjsf08002 psi question

I have been just really paying attention to my filter pressure recently due to that I am using DE for my sand filter. my pressure is usually 13-14 psi without DE. But when using DE it jumps to 17-20 with just a half of cup. In a matter of minutes. My water return then drops way down. What is a normal pressure with and without using DE?

As a fellow pool owner that once believed in the pool store guys. Eg Leslie Pool. The best thing to do in my own experience is to take the plunge and invest in a great pool testing kit. It will make taking care of your pool so much easier and less stressful. Along with the amount of money you do safe.
