Little Help Rebuilding Hawyard Key Seal Diverter Assembly

Can't get the pin back into the handle. Any suggestions?? Been trying everything I can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, make sure that the orientation is correct. Then bevel the end of the pin a little to help it go in. Lube up the stem orings with silicone lube. Get someone to push down on the lid while you insert the pin. Put the non crimped end of the pin in the vs the crimped end.

Are you trying to do this on the valve or off the valve?
