Solar Panels- Determining the right size

Hi-

Could use some advice. We live in East County San Diego where the summer peaks around 100-102 and the evenings will be in the 80s. We purchased a 300 sq foot solar system for a 450sq ft pool. I know it doesn't hit the 75% minimum requirement, but how much will this really affect the system? Should we just buy more solar to get it up to ~450 sq ft of coverage? Is it worth the extra money?

More is better, but what you have will be a big help.

That pretty much sums it up, adding more panels will help extend the shoulder seasons when there are less hours of peak sunlight and the sunlight is less intense.
