Newbie pool boy/ Cleaning ?

Good Afternoon,

Searched the forums without any luck so going to post my question here. Just purchased a home with an existing pool. It has the old decorative waterline sticker around it. The adhesive feels hard underneath the sticker. It is also flakey in some places. Not sure how to remove this without damaging the fiberglass. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I would try scraping carefully with a putty knife first. WD-40 can do wonders for removing the sticky residue left by paper stickers so that might be worth a try in a small area. Just try not to get it in the pool water...

Goo gone is also excellent for removing glue.
