Chlorine demand still high after months of slamming

Hi,

my hot tub is consuming 2ppm per day FC and CC is above 0.5

using lamotte commercial 7 testing kit

hot tub had been standing for a few months with residual water in the pipes after the pump broke and I emptied the tub

after refill i have been slamming. Cya is zero, the bugs ate it when fc dropped to zero when I couldn't keep up slamming.

i even hyper chlorinated to 50ppm but still the demand and high cc exists

i will change the filter again but what else can i do? Change water? It has only been a few months since i recommissioned

it is becoming tiresome now.

Our pool is behaving perfectly...

The only other thing to do is get some ahh-some tub cleaner and give it a good cleaning. But, 2ppm per day isn't all that bad.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

i looked up what ahhsome is. I'll try to get some in the UK.

i thought anything above 1ppm loss per day was bad, esp. combined with high cc
