All, I fixed a leak in a skimmer line and I had to chip away gunite from the top of the piping - in other words they covered the top of pipes in gunite. Should I pour cement over the pipes before I fill the hole in a cover with concrete?

Post a pic. Probably not, most likely the thing to cover it with is sand. But, a pic will allow a better understanding.
