We recently drained our pool so we could repaint. Took the drain cover off and had issues putting back on so used stainless screws to put back on the cover. Then the first time we cleaned it the cover came off. Now we need to figure out how to put the drain cover back on. Any suggestions?

were the screws the wrong size? how did it come back out..
The only way is a diver or someone who can hold there breath, I don't think you want to empty again

Have you upgraded to a VGB compliant drain cover? Is the problem with the drain itself? Are the screw holes stripped?
The new covers come with retrofit kits so it may be able to fix your problem with a new cover.
