by reading "The ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry" up in Pool School. It is the textbook from which we teach. It'll tell you what to test, why we test for it. It'll get you started realizing the need to test your own water and stay out of the Pool $tore.
Once you can make the commitment to get the test kit, get it on order you can seldom find the K-2006C or the TF-100 anywhere locally. I would suggest Pool Supply World as they can ship fast to you out of California. saving you money and time.
Now, while you are waiting for the kit, be patient. Starting tonight put a large jug (128 oz, I think) all into the pool. Tel;l us how big your pool is and we'll suggest fuirther dosage until your kit gets in.
