I heard somewhere that this was a good idea. I'm adding a heater and redoing my equipment layout. Things are dug up and I have access to the pipes at the point where they come out of the ground. Currently all my piping is 1 1/2. Someone said that if possible it's a good idea to change all the piping between all the equipment to 2" even though it will remain 1 1/2" in the ground between the equipment and the pool.
I have to repipe everything any way so I'm not ripping out good pipe just to switch to 2. I'm just curious if it is pointless to switch to 2 when the lines in the ground will still be 1 1/2".
