It seems that my water always turns a very faint pink after adding reagent R0003 that clears after adding one drop of R0871. Does this mean I always have a very low level of CC, or is this normal?

Our pools are constantly transitioning FC to CC and waiting for the sun to oxidize it. That faint appearance might also vary at different times of day, so I see nothing to be concerned about. We treat CC readings at 0.5 or less as zero, so you are just fine.
I get a very faint pink from time to time as well. Usually when I've left my solar cover on for days at a time with little sun directly hitting the water to help burn off CCs.
The only thing I would add is ensure you never drop below the recommended FC level for your CYA level. Otherwise... Well just don't let it happen!..
