I just hooked up a intex sand filter to my intex pro series pool I used hoses and grey clamps no shutoff values. I used an adaptor on my skimmer wont fit value. When its time to clean the strainer basket on my sand filter how do I do it without shutoff values. And once I open the basket how do I get water back in there I guess its called priming it

You can put the valve at the other end of the hose, attached directly to the basket, if you still want to add one.
Loosen the cover on the prefilter basket a little bit to let the air bleed out. The pump will prime itself after a few seconds of running.
