Best replacement for Ray Vac--Polaris 280 or 360?

Hello everyone!

I am trying to get away with replacing old Ray with a new pressure side Polaris without having to install a booster pump.
Ray worked well for years but our old plaster has chewed him to bits and they aren't making him anymore. (New plaster being done this Saturday!)

Can the PSI that was more than adequate for Ray will power a Polaris 280?
Or just go with the 360?
Is this even a good idea or should we suck it up and get one with a booster either way?

thanks!

you are in luck b/c i just did the exact same thing.

i retired the old jandy rayvac.

just bought a polaris 360.

It is Plug and Play. plugs in and uses the existing dedicated pressure line, and it worked beautifully overnight last night - my first night with it.

it's definitely better than the jandy rayvac.

any other questions, i'll be happy to try to answer, even though i'm a brand new 360 user.
