How do I turn on my heater

Hi all, new pool owner here! When we first moved in to our new house last month, I had a pool company guy over to show me how to clean/vacuum the pool and check chemicals. He also showed me how to turn on this gas (original) heater to the pool and in ground spa, which is separated from the pool by about 5 feet, but share common filter/pump. I took pretty good notes, but apparently not the part about the heater! Its so old I can't even see what brand it is. I have attached some pictures here:

Adding pic of gas line to heater. Do I need to turn this green valve horizontally to turn on gas?

Yes, that valve is currently in the OFF position, i.e. the handles are perpendicular to the gas line. It should turn only 90 degrees, i.e. a quarter turn valve and the handles will end up parallel to the gas line and will then be in the OPEN position.

You have an older Raypak 2100 unit. Turn the gas valve on, green handle by the side of your house, then turn the dial all the way to the right, then flip the on/off switch on the front of the heater. Then hopefully it will light and work.
