Pool Pump and a Solar Cover

    Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has used a pool pump on a solar cover. I only see people using standard pool covers with pool pumps. Just wondered if a solar cover would hold it up. Mainly because when it rains I have a lot of water on top of my solar cover that turns into a tea if there are leaves on top too. Thanks for your input!

    Chris

I personally don't believe they would hold a cover pump. Mine weighs probably 10 pounds. Perhaps a small sump pump.....??

Can you lay a hose down on the cover to make it siphon off the water?

Lowes sells little submersible fountain pumps in the outside garden section that might work.

Thanks. These are both good suggestions. I have an inground pool so the siphoning might be difficult. Thanks again.
