Just preparing to open our AG 15Rd pool for this year ,, i years past ive always used teflon tape on the threads that connect the flex hoses to heater , filter, pump, return... and every year after hand tightening , drip ...drip ... drip , unscrew connection re-teflon tape threads ...drip ...drip ...drip... Wanting to go another route this year ..... I bought from Ace Hardware Pipe Thread Compound TFE Paste for use on pvc or plastic.... Now do i still use teflon tape on threads and use compound over it? or just use the compound by it self??
